What is sclerotherapy?
Sclerotherapy is a minimally invasive procedure for the treatment of uncomplicated spider veins or uncomplicated reticular veins.
How is the procedure performed?
Spider vein treatment is easily performed with small injections into the veins. A topical numbing cream is applied to the skin before the injections are made for comfort.
Is there downtime after the procedure?
There is minimal discomfort or downtime after the procedure.
What is the post-procedural care?
For best results, we recommend the following post-procedural care:
1. Wear compression stockings for 3 days after your procedure.
2. Walk for 15-20 minutes immediately after the procedure and daily for the next 3-4 days.
3. Avoid heavy exercise, sunbathing, long plane flights, hot saunas / baths for 3 days after procedure.
